Synopsis

Captain America: Symbol of Truth #10 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4.5 stars

In the burning city, Captain America (Sam Wilson) is confronted by the mutated Falcon, his former partner now a vampiric birdman, blaming Cap for what happened to him and wanting vengeance. The real Joaquin peeks out briefly before the monster returns; Redwing bites Cap on the ear as Nomad arrives. Falcon introduces himself in a sinister manner, implying he has killed his family, and he grabs Nomad in his claws and flies high into the sky….

White Wolf boasts about his scheme in turning Falcon against Captain America, while donning a costume similar to Black Panther’s but more befitting a White Wolf….

Cap attacks Falcon in the air, causing him to drop Nomad who cannot fly, while trying to reach the Joaquin inside the monster….

On the ground, Dr. Ayanda Sisulu, leader of the resistance, Bathabile, and Tilda (Nightshade) Johnson take advantage of the distraction and bring the attack to the Parliament building….

Cap throws his shield to the falling Nomad who uses it to surf along a high railing while Cap and Falcon plummet to the ground. [We then see in Arizona that Joaquin’s family is safe, him having feasted on the farm animals.] Cap looks at Falcon’s crumpled form and vows to kill the White Wolf….

Captain America: Symbol of Truth #10 Review by (February 8, 2023)

Review: Wait, that guy on the cover…didn’t I see him in the SONIC movie? No, he’s the White Wolf, main villain in this book so far. It’s another heavily action-oriented plot only more personal as Cap tries to reach his partner turned enemy. The issue’s very distinctive look comes from the fact that every page on the battlefield is backed by flames, a terrifying sight. And White Wolf puts on a costume this time, to make him look more like a comic book villain, because that’s what he is. Very exciting issue.
