Synopsis

Captain America #134 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3 stars
Captain America and the Falcon beat up a couple of punks running a protection racket on a Harlem shopkeeper but the hoods won't talk about their boss Stone-Face, a ganglord nicked from his partially paralyzed face. At that moment, Falcon’s nephew Jody Casper is working as a numbers runner for the crimelord, dreaming of the easy life. Jody stops by Sam Wilson’s office and rejects his uncle’s advice to avoid the racket. Shortly thereafter Jody is arrested and Cap joins Sam and Jody’s mom in recommending leniency. Jody is given a suspended sentence but leaves with the wrong lesson, he believes that even Captain America works for Stone-Face. Stone-Face, however, assumes that Jody was released because he informed on his boss, and orders Jody silenced. When Steve and Sam discover Jody’s mother has been shot by the hoods, they don their hero outfits and pursue the crooks back to their hideout where they assault the building and take down Stone-Face and his gang. Jody’s mom will recover and Jody realizes that crime is a dead-end career.
