Review / Commentaries

Captain America #270 Review by (September 18, 2014)
Review: An interesting little tale with more about the Steve and Bernie relationship than we really wanted to know, but at least DeMatteis put some thought into it and provided some well-rounded characterizations. The art highlight is the scene where Cap battles the baddies in the darkened room with the panels alternating between light and dark for a very interesting effect. Cap’s fight with the robot is also nicely done.

Comments: First full appearance of Arnie Roth; first appearance of his roommate Michael Bech. Merv Griffin was a popular talk show host of the era.
