Story
continued from THOR #25.
Iron Man in his new (gigantic) Celestial Hulkbuster armor is letting loose on Hulk
with everything he’s got. From a distance, Thor is watching the destruction of
the Black Hand of God, site of the epic battle.
And then he hurls Mjolnir, stopping Tony from killing Hulk; he tells a
startled Tony that there is something more going on than they are aware of—and then
Hulk returns and the battle continues. Bruce Banner tries to warn Tony that
Hulk doesn’t know this isn’t a simulation. Thor hurls Mjolnir, powered by the
spirit of Odin, pinning Hulk to the ground. Hulk begins to glow horribly; Thor
thinks it is Hulk’s rage escaping but Iron Man realizes that it is an unprecedentedly
large amount of Gamma power—and Hulk explodes, obliterating everything in sight….
Tony,
wearing only the endoskeleton of the now disintegrated Celestial armor, doesn’t
know what has happened as he stands on a desolate chunk of rock. His operating
system, B.O.S.S. estimates that blast was the equivalent of three thousand Gamma
bombs, which would atomize a human. But what if the victim was a god? Enter
Thor, now a Hulk. “Thor smash!”
