In Brooklyn, Doc Green a/k/a/ the Hulk has been met by a force
consisting of She-Hulk, Invisible Woman, Thor (Jane Foster), Captain America
(Sam Wilson), Iron Man, and Vision, backed up by Maria Hill and a squadron of
SHIELD Agents. He asks to speak to Jennifer alone; the others prepare to resist
but Jen agrees to go with him into a nearby blockhouse. She asks what happened
to Lyra; he tells her; she punches him through a wall. He explains that the
rogue AI calling itself Gammon wants his body and he can't give it up; his
Extremis treatment is slowly degrading and soon he will be back to Savage Hulk.
He could take an Extremis supplement but there's something he fears even more:
the Maestro. He can't take a chance on giving his hateful future self any
advantages....
Doc and Jen go out and look that the skyline, him wishing he
had more time. He assures Jen that he will find Lyra, checks his phone for the
whereabouts of Gammon...and is interrupted by Betty Ross, his ex-wife. She asks
to talk to Bruce Banner so Doc changes and she tries to apologize for having him shot
(INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK #20) but he is distracted by his hunt for Gammon. She
laughs and they kiss...and then he realizes “Wait. Did she say she had me
shot?”
