The Toad Men in their world hold Hulk, Jarella and Crackajack prisoners. Standing in front of queen Froja, the Toads find out the Shaper of Worlds made Hulk’s planet. Torkon, the king, wants the Shaper to do his bidding, and believes Hulk is the key to capture him. Tired of listening, Hulk frees himself and topples Torkon. Defending his own, Froja hits the Hulk, and he doesn’t hit back since he doesn’t punch women, not even “ugly ones”. Amid the battle, Hulk’s friends are in serious peril. So Jarella convinces the Hulk to calm down, and he complies for their sake.
With his friends in captivity, they order Hulk to return to his paradise planetoid in search of the Shaper. He is carrying a Skrulls’ Nulltron bomb on his back. When Hulk finds the Shaper, the Toad Men detonate the weapon, knocking both out. Taking the Shaper with them, the villains leave the Hulk behind in his world.
When Hulk wakes up, he explains to Glorian what happened. The two travel to Toadworld in a rainbow and the conflictive Toad Men don’t welcome them, shooting peaceful Glorian. That shocks the Shaper who loses concentration, causing Jarella and Crackajack, his created illusions, to turn into strange reptiles. Witnessing that, Hulk goes berserk, destroying the place and defeating all in his path.
It is the Shaper who calls for an end of the hostilities. He offers the Hulk to return to his perfect planetoid and live with his friends. But Hulk rejects the offer since it’s an illusion, not a veritable paradise. The Toad Men would gladly accept a fake paradise world. But the Shaper won’t help the villains. After returning Hulk to his reality, the Shaper vanishes, taking an unconscious Glorian with him. The Toad Men must face their dark fate alone, a fate they brought upon themselves.
