Earthquakes caused by Avalanche in Los Angeles threaten the subterranean reign of the Mole Man. One of his men, Landslide, who has similar powers than Avalanche, tries stopping the mutant and they end up fighting.

Their confrontation endangers Betty Ross and Rick Jones, who were aboard a plane that landed safely only thanks to the Hulk.

Avalanche tries defeating the Hulk, but it goes the other way around. Landslide, though, stays away from the Hulk’s path, and returns to his subterranean parts, thankful of the man monster, who helped saved his habitat.
