Staying in the New Mexico cavern (from the Hulk early days), Bruce Banner, Betty Ross and Rick Jones must deal with Glorian, the apprentice of the Shaper of Worlds. Glorian practiced his dreaming powers in a nearby town called Dustbowl, making everyone think they’re a better version of themselves. Even Betty, who visited the town, falls victim of his tricks. Banner senses something is odd, turns into the Hulk and goes into town. Rick follows him.

Glorian uses his powers to make the locals take the appearance of some Hulk enemies, like Bi-Beast, Rhino, Gargoyle, Abomination, Moonstone, and the Leader. And Betty takes the appearance of the Harpy.

Once the green giant triumphs, the Shaper of Worlds emerges. He turns everyone to normal and explains to Hulk what is happening. Glorian and he depart, leaving behind an enraged Hulk, manipulated by Glorian and despised by the community. Rick shares the Hulk’s sentiments while Betty tries to calm them down.

Also in this story, in fantasies: Thunderbolt Ross. In flashbacks: Gregory Gideon, Dragon Man, Mr Fantastic, Johnny Storm, the Thing.
