Synopsis

Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #384 synopsis by Julio MM
Rating: 3 stars

After his cosmic clash with Thanos, the Hulk returns to Earth—materializing in the sewers of New York City. But something is terribly wrong: his body has been reduced to the size of an insect. Disoriented and vulnerable, he navigates the damp tunnels, searching for answers.

In the shadows, the Abomination lurks once more, having kidnapped his estranged wife, Mrs. Blonsky. Hulk, despite his diminished form, confronts him. Unable to fight, he resorts to words—climbing near the Abomination’s ear and speaking with a calm, commanding tone, as if channeling divine authority. His voice, though small, carries weight. He appeals to the remnants of humanity within the monster.

Moved by the surreal encounter and the echo of guilt, the Abomination releases Mrs. Blonsky, stepping back into the darkness. At that moment, the intradimensional portal reappears, swirling with energy. Hulk, without hesitation, leaps into it—vanishing once again into the unknown.

Meanwhile, Betty Ross, seeking stability amid chaos, begins working at a call center as a customer service representative. It’s a quiet, unglamorous job, but it offers her a sense of normalcy—a fragile peace while the world around her shifts in unpredictable ways.
