Synopsis

Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #385 synopsis by Julio MM
Rating: 3 stars

The Hulk returns to Earth once more—this time restored to his full, towering size. He emerges again in New York City, but the streets are unrecognizable. The city is plunged into chaos, overrun by frenzied mobs driven by madness. People are stealing, killing, and committing unspeakable acts, as if possessed by a primal force.

Atalanta and Ajax of the Pantheon arrive on the scene, attempting to contain the violence. Despite their efforts to subdue the rioters, they are forced to take lethal action against some of the most dangerous aggressors. The situation spirals, revealing that this wave of insanity is not random—it’s orchestrated.

At the heart of the madness stands Geralt, a malevolent entity whose presence warps minds and fuels destruction. Hulk confronts him in a brutal showdown, battling not just for survival, but for the soul of the city. The fight is fierce, but Hulk’s strength and willpower prove greater. He defeats Geralt, whose death breaks the spell cast over the city.

With Geralt’s demise, the madness lifts. Peace returns to New York, and in a miraculous twist, all those who had died or vanished—including Rick Jones and countless innocents—are revived and restored. The city breathes again, scarred but healing, as Hulk stands amidst the aftermath—a silent guardian in a world that still doesn’t fully understand him.
