Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #464 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Bruce Banner and Thunderbolt Ross are taken to Freehold, subterranean complex created by the Leader under Canadian ice, current whereabouts of Armageddon and his troops. In that place they find Samuel "Rock" Laroquette, former HulkBuster who refreshes Ross' memories. The General, former "Redeemer", almost perished fighting the Hulk (in TIH #400), saved by troyjan's technology and used as the bait to catch the Hulk. Armageddon appears in front of them and explains Banner the purpose of his kidnap: utilize the Hulk's gamma energy to feed up the life machinery "Deus Ex Machina" and revive Trauma, the defunct son of the sovereign (who was killed by the Hulk in TIH #416). Bruce suffers the methamorphosis and agrees to the petition, although it may cause his death. Suddenly the Silver Surfer shows up asking for revenge to Armageddon (they fought in TIH #416). Hulk quiets them down and the revive process begins. But Hulk's energy is too much for the hardware to handle and Trauma's body is incinerated. Beaten, Armageddon decides to leave the Earth promissing revenge. Special guests: Betty, Rick Jones, Marlo.
