Comments: “Marvel Legacy.” Thor is billed as the Unworthy Thor on the cover, despite his having regained his worth somewhere around Civil War II or Secret Empire..

Review: More epic action. Land and Leisten's art is impressive for giving this superhuman battle the larger-than-life touch it needs. Meanwhile, Amadeus seems to be improving at keeping the Dark Hulk at bay and doing what needs to be done. Very cool and I really want to know what happens next.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #712 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

In the fourth level of the Warlord's Gauntlet, Hulk is fighting furiously against Thor Odinson while trying to talk sense into him so that they could team up and overthrow the Warlord. Thor, fighting savagely against his friend-turned-opponent, reveals that he is being controlled by the villain Lickspit by means of an Obedience Disk. Thor splits the ground, hurling Hulk into the air and nearly swallowing up Maeera the Priestess. She wants Hulk to release the Worldbreaker in spite of his fears, and Thor concurs: Hulk must kill him or everyone dies. As Thor prepares another violent attack, Amadeus enters his unconscious, where he is driving a car with the Dark Hulk sitting in the trunk. Hulk tells him not to be afraid as they are the same person—and that killing Thor may be the right thing to do if it means that millions live. Amadeus must learn that he can't save everyone and that he can't keep his hands pure; Hulk seizes the wheel—and then the Worldbreaker is in the arena...but it is still Amadeus in charge. Thor brutally beats Hulk to the ground and the Warlord orders Thor to kill him—but Hulk is only waiting and he knocks Thor across the arena. Hulk rips the Obedience Disk off of Thor and introduces him to his friends. The Warlord announces that he will face Hulk in the fifth level of the Gauntlet, promising to break his world. The villain takes Lickspit back to show him what he will use: a massive weapon made from combined parts of American and Soviet spacecraft....
