Synopsis

Incredible Hulk Annual, The (1976 series) #6 synopsis by Julio M2
Rating: 4 stars
A seeker robot materializes in Doctor Strange's mansion looking for the Master of the Mystic Arts. The Hulk who was in the mansion, believes the robot is a threat and attacks it. But the robot is able to defend itself well. Strange stops the fight and follows the robot through a portal, leaving the Hulk in the mansion.

Doctor Strange arrives to a place called the Beehive and is greeted by three scientists, Morlak, Shinsky and Zota, who need his help. Strange senses that something is wrong and sends a mystical message to the Hulk who departs to aid his friend.

Morlak explains Doctor Strange that they're trying to "end war and crime by creating an artificial genetic prototype who will find a new race of perfect man". And to avoid the problems they experienced with a previous prototype that turned against them (FF #66 and 67), they ask Strange to perform brain surgery on the new prototype. Strange does so using advanced machinery. From its cocoon, the prototype bursts out; Morlak names it Paragon and to test his total obedience, Morlak shows his true self and orders Paragon to destroy Doctor Strange!

After dealing with submarine torpedos, a NATO test military operation, a Russian rocket, a China nuclear test area, and natives who thought he was a god, the Hulk finally reaches the uncharted island where the Beehive complex is hidden. The Hulk shatters the seemingly unbreakable dome and aids Doctor Strange in his fight against Paragon. But the prototype goes through a metamorphosis that makes him even more powerful, and directs his attention to destroying the Beehive. Doctor Strange convinces the Hulk to leave the island using the complex's Transporter device, minutes before Paragon returns to his cocoon (from where he could return someday) and the island succumbs under water, seemingly killing the evil scientists.
