Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Invaders, The #4 Synopsis by Marc Toy
Captain America, Human Torch and Toro steal a Douglas Dive-Bomber from a military base in Washington D.C. in hopes of catching up with Bucky and Namor who, in the previous issue, headed to Bermuda in pursuit of U-Man. Meanwhile, in Namor's airship, Bucky hears all about Namor's suspicion that U-Man is a research scientist named Meranno, who turned traitor and was exiled from Namor's undersea kingdom. In Bermuda, new war correspondent Betty Dean has arrived to cover Winston Churchill's departure back to England on the H.M.S. Duke Of York. U-Man arrives first, takes over Betty's motorboat, and throws her down below. She radios the boat plane that's transporting Churchill to Bermuda for his rendezvous with his battleship not to land due to U-Man's arrival. It swerves away, but U-Man still is able to jump onto a wing. Namor arrives in the nick of time to battle U-Man, both plunging into the ocean. The rest of the Invaders arrive to help thwart U-Man and the German Navy's attempt on Churchill's life. U-Man eventually escapes but the Invaders fear they will meet him again as it is going to be a long war.
