Enraged, Thor vents his fury on the barren world, destroying vast regions of it. Balder fears the "Warrior Madness" is upon him. Unmindful of Balder's concerns, Thor transports the two of them after Him and Sif.

Meanwhile, in Nornheim, Haag forms a graven image totem of Balder to control him.

Balder and Thor arrive in a "strangely distant world" where Him animates tree roots to incapacitate Balder. Him reveals Sif within a floating sphere, further infuriating Thor. They fight with Thor, eventually pummeling Him.

In Asgard, the Astrologer Royal views the scene and informs Odin who realizes Thor is guilty of Warrior Madness and must pay the penalty.

Defeated, Him retreats to his cocoon and flees into outer space.

The Warrior Madness passes but Thor knows he must be judged. He, Sif and Balder return to Asgard where Odin has prepared a cosmos-craft to seek Galactus and plans for Thor to pilot it as penitence for his Warrior Madness.
