The X-Factor team—Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Iceman—engages the (Gray) Hulk in Illinois. After a fierce battle, they manage to subdue him by trapping him inside a massive ice wall created by Iceman.
With the Hulk contained, they contact Clay Quartermain and leave him in the custody of S.H.I.E.L.D.
