Thor and the Recorder return to Rigel and report to the High Commissioner who orders the Recorder's memory banks removed. Thor argues that the Recorder has a heart and is a noble ally, convincing the High Commissioner to keep him active.

Thor returns to Asgard where he learns Odin has observed his battle with Galactus. Telling him the battle is not yet ended, Odin uses the spatial screen to show him an image of Galactus destroying another world and his power scepter to show Galactus' first appearance.

Before Thor can begin a new search for Galactus, cosmic counselor Torger tells Thor that Sif has gone to investigate a great danger he sensed on Earth and hasn't been heard from since.

Elsewhere, Karnilla's image taunds Balder. He curses himself for falling in love with her while Thor returns to Earth to find Sif.
