Dr. North visits Don Blake and tells him that billionaire Kronin Krask is holding Jane Foster hostage to force him to perform a "forbidden experiment." North hopes that Blake can contact Thor for help.
In Asgard, Odin senses a danger and, searching for it, sees Loki rabble-rousing and Karnilla's physician nursing Balder back to health before finally seeing an image of Krask.
Dr. North goes to Krask's estate and pulls a gun on him but Krask's men disarm him. Krask demands that North perform the first-ever mind transplant to save his life.
Blake becomes Thor and invades the estate, battling Krask's men. Expecting him, they knock him out with an hallucinogenic mist. Krask reveals that he kidnapped Jane because he knew of her past affiliation with Thor. Now, he plans to have North place his mind in Thor's body with the ultra-oscilloscope which forces their brain waves to collide.
The two egos battle and Thor wins while Krask apparently dies. Thor reveals that he regained consciousness before the procedure but played possum to accept a challenge "no warrior coudst ignore." Krask's men flee. North and Jane go free.
