Comments: Atticus Trask is a descendent of Bolivar Trask and also anti-mutant. I have no idea where, or if, the storyline with the Red Hulk from the future is continued.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

A+X #1 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

1943: The Nazis, headed by scientist Atticus Trask, are burying a sleeper weapon in the French countryside and Captain America and Bucky are assigned to put a stop to it. At the excavation, the heroes see that the weapon is a giant robot (that readers will recognize as a Sentinel). Trask is a surprisingly modern looking youth. As they make their plans, suddenly a time tunnel opens up and Cable leaps though firing on the bad guys; Cap and Bucky join in, not believing the newcomer when he claims to be from the future. Trask sorts through computer punch cards of all the X-Men and programs the mutant-hunting Sentinel to destroy Cable. Cap and Cable distract the monster while Bucky tosses a bomb in its works. Trask is captured, his toys destroyed, and Cable takes him back to the future with a grateful farewell to Cap. Meanwhile, Bucky is left wishing he had a robot arm like Cable’s….

Writer: Jeph Loeb. Pencils: Dale Keown. Inks: Danny Miki. Colors: Frank D’Armata.

Synopsis: Late one night in Avengers Tower, Wolverine and Hulk are bickering over the last piece of cake in the fridge when a time portal opens and the Maestro and an older Logan leap out and attack their counterparts. They are there to kill the Hulk—but evidently not this Hulk but another one whose existence jeopardizes the future. Hulk thunderclaps the two out the window but they teleport away before hitting the ground. Wolverine is confused by the time-paradoxes involved while Hulk seizes the opportunity to grab the cake. In an alternate future, Maestro and old Logan go to the Oval Office in the White House and report their failure to their boss—an older Red Hulk….
