Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Captain America #10 Synopsis by Kevin Hollander
Captain America reaches Washington DC and meets with Sam Wilson. Thanks to the emergency blood transfusion, Sam Wilson has gained a small portion of the super-solider serum and has become a super-hero code-named Falcon. He sends him on a mission to find the Sons of the Serpent HQ.

Cap arranges to meet Nick Fury at the Lincoln Memorial. They discuss the advanced technology that the Sons of the Serpent have and how they are being armed by someone in the Federal government. Fury promises that S.H.I.E.L.D. is looking into this. He also mentions an assault on their local headquarters that will occur tonight. Cap tells Fury that he will be joining them, like it or not.

Before that night's mission, he meets with Rikki Barnes and Sam Wilson. Rikki has noticed that something seems off with the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel; Cap advises her to trust her instincts and investigate.

Once the squad is assembled, their mission beings. Cap's instincts tell him something is wrong and begins questioning the agents. Before he can explain himself, they are caught in an ambush. After a bloody fight, only two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents manage to escape. When they describe the outcome to Nick Fury, they report that Captain America is missing, presumed dead. Fury promises to avenge the death of Captain America.

Fury then uses one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying cars to carry him to a meeting. Unknown to anyone, Cap escaped the explosion, and is tagging along in the trunk. When he reaches the building, he climbs to the roof and look in on a Serpents' meeting. He learns that Falcon has been captured by the Sons of the Serpent and that the Serpent King is actually ... Nick Fury.
