Synopsis

Captain America #4 synopsis by Kevin Hollander
Rating: 2 stars
Rikki Barnes breaks into the headquarters of the World Party looking for her misguided brother John. She overhears some of the mercenaries state that Captain America was captured and brought back here. While looking around, she is found by John and his friend Gus, who threaten to kill her. She barely escapes and literally runs into the Red Skull.

Below in a holding cell, Cap and Sam Wilson are chained to the wall. Cap tells Wilson that he'll do everything he can to ensure his father's life was not sacrificed in vain. Wilson won't hear any of it. The Red Skull enters with his shield to taunt him. He offers Cap a place in his new world order. Cap refuses and frees himself from his shackles and regains his shield.

At this point Master Man enters the cell and stages a coup. He states that nobody will leave this room alive, including The Skull, who is no longer relevant to their objectives. He states that he alone is responsible for the success of the World Party. He has shown up The Skull in every possible way including locating the shield and the shield bearer, something that The Skull was unable to do.

Upon hearing his confession, Wilson challenges Master Man for causing his father's death. He is shot in retaliation.

Rikki Barnes awakens and finds herself tied to a nuclear missile with the countdown sequence started.

Review / Commentaries

Captain America #4 Review by (July 9, 2010)
The Red Skull seems to be the closest thing to a real character in this issue. Cap's preachy dialogue while fighting the Skull and Crossbones is forced and detracts from the sequence.
