Synopsis

Captain America #19 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3 stars

As Captain America battles the new Master Man aboard a ship at the London docks, Aleksander Lukin tells the Red Skull he intends to keep Cap out of the way a little longer by detonating a bomb aboard the ship. As Cap is engaged in combat with his Neo-Nazi counterpart, Union Jack is hurled over the side of the vessel by one of the villain’s henchmen; from the dock he spies the bomb counting down less than a minute to go and hurries back aboard to warn Cap. Cap contacts Spitfire who races back in time to grab her two partners by the arms and leap into the water with them just as the ship explodes. They see Master Man leaving a fiery trail as he is hurled through the air….

Bucky Barnes watches the TV report on the incident, which includes the revelation that Captain America and Union Jack were at the scene of the explosion. Then he goes back to preparing his revenge against Lukin….

Joey is called on the carpet by Phil Gavin, his boss at MI5, who is facing pressure from his superiors and the public—not to mention Kronas Corporation—as to why one of his agents destroyed a ship with the help of an American agent. When Cap refuses to reveal what he was searching for on the ship, Gavin orders him to stand down. Sharon Carter enters at this point to explain that Cap works for her, and for the next week so do Spitfire and Union Jack, by orders of the Prime Minister. They head off to plan their next move….

The next night, Sharon and Union Jack explore a secret underground tunnel connecting two Kronas properties while Steve and Jackie follow Bucky’s trail. The latter pair roughs up an arms dealer and his thugs to get a lead on the Winter Soldier. But it’s Sharon and Joey who are standing only a few yards from their quarry in the tunnel. Winter Soldier blends into the shadows as they receive a call about a sighting of the Master Race, Master Man’s Neo-Nazi gang. Captain America and Spitfire, Union Jack and Agent 13 rendezvous at the scene, only to find several rooms full of dead men, some Master Race and some from an A.I.M. splinter group. And one more thing: part of a plan for an air assault on London….

Elsewhere, Master Man, his face blistered from the burns he received, vows revenge against Captain America. The Red Skull assures him he will get his chance…since he just sent Cap an invitation….
