Captain America and ... #635 Review by (August 17, 2012)
Review: All-action issue is a lot of fun, though Iron Man dominates the story. Most promising aspect: that epilogue which is hinting that there is more than one Kash Vennema. She (they?) will return when Black Widow makes her appearance in the series.

Comments: Final issue as CAPTAIN AMERICA AND IRON MAN; next up: CAPTAIN AMERICA AND NAMOR. Cap says that Batroc is not in his top ten of enemies; in the list in CAPTAIN AMERICA ANNUAL #10 (1991), Batroc ranks sixth. Zut alors!

Captain America and ... #635 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Captain America and Iron Man, in his jury-rigged armor, are facing Kashmir Vennema, Batroc’s Brigade, and MODOK at their base in Madripoor. Shellhead tells Cap they need to hold off the bad guys for five minutes—and then all chaos breaks loose. After a wild and crazy battle, the five-minute mark is reached: Tony’s Extremis armor has finished recalibrating itself and he regains his full powers and takes down MODOK. Kash Vennema, cornered by Cap, unleashes the Harvester Protocol and the virus begins to shut down all technology in Madripoor including MODOK. Iron Man came prepared however and deploys his army of hornet drones, each carrying the anti-virus. They neutralize the Protocol and Cap takes Kash off to prison.

Epilogue: in a mysterious building in the middle of a hardware-strewn wasteland, a pair of women assume that Operator 12 (Kash Vennema) has been captured and their mission has failed. One consolation: they have the specs for Iron Man’s armor....
