Hulk #422 continues the Asgardian detour with a clash of titans as Hulk faces off against the red-haired Thor—revealed to be Roger Norvell, not Odinson. Their brutal fight is mirrored by skirmishes between the Pantheon and the Warriors Three, with even Betty Ross joining the fray. But as tempers cool and no clear victor emerges, both sides agree to end the senseless conflict and redirect their efforts toward a common goal: capturing Agamemnon.
Agamemnon, having sought sanctuary in the icy fortress of Siingard, is now under the protection of the Frost Giant lord. Siingard, recognizing the threat posed by Hulk and his allies, unleashes his monstrous nephew—the Hoarfen, a towering wolf-beast bred for war.
As the battle erupts at the gates of the fortress, Hector seizes Agamemnon and hurls him toward Hulk. But before the green goliath can react, the Hoarfen lunges and swallows both Hulk and Agamemnon whole, seemingly killing them in a single, horrifying moment.
The issue ends on a grim note, with the Pantheon stunned and the fate of their leader and their strongest ally hanging in the balance. The mythic tone deepens, setting the stage for a reckoning in the final chapter of the “Myth Conceptions” arc.
