Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #439 Synopsis by Mark Zieba
The Hulk, fighting his way through Ogress and Hotshot, eventually makes it to Freehold, just as Jailbait overhears Omnibus plans of using the Leaders humanoids to destroy the World Trade Center and the White House. When the Hulk finally finds Omnibus, he is informed that Omnibus does not have the necessary skills to remove the grenade fragments from the Hulks head. As a counter proposal, Omnibus offers for the Hulk to stay at Freehold, showing him all of the death and destruction occurring out in the world and telling him to avoid it. The Hulk, being reminded of what the Maestro told him, devises a plan to stop the destruction and, during a live broadcast showing the devastation that occurred to Mount Rushmore, shows up as the Maestro, claiming to be the head of the Alliance and personally responsible for all of the destruction occurring. He challenges anyone to stop him, just as the Avengers show up. Meanwhile, Rick and Marlo Jones are offered ! their own talk show.
