Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #456 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara

Janis and Rick Jones are intercepted by the Absorbing Man to inform them that Apocalypse is trying to turn Hulk into an even more sinister and powerful being. Rick would be the only one who may calm him. Without much thought, the two follow the Absorbing Man to Egypt.

There, Apocalypse is removing shrapnel from the Hulk's head, applies certain implants and transforms the Hulk into his new Horseman: War!

In Egypt, Rick, Janis and the Absorbing are seen by the Hulk who lifts an entire pyramid (!) and throws it at them. Escaping from such attack, Rick tries to reason with the Hulk. But "War" doesn't want to.

The Absorbing Man confronts the Hulk who uses his sword to blast his enemy to pieces.

Fortunately, a reinforcement has arrived to stop the green Horseman: Juggernaut, the unstoppable!

Also in this story: Ozymandias.
