Indestructible Hulk #13 cover

Story Name:

Agent of T.I.M.E. Part Three

Synopsis

Indestructible Hulk #13 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

Having succeeded in their mission to the Old West (proved to the T.I.M.E. scientists by the modern airport suddenly reappearing in its proper place), Hulk and “Bruce” (a robot with Bruce Banner's mind backed up) find themselves in the court of King Arthur. The Hulk instinctively goes on a rampage so the King summons Merlin the Magician who banishes the Hulk several miles away. This gives “Bruce” forty seconds before Hulk returns to find out the situation: the Chronarchist Valdar Ahd has conquered Camelot, killing several knights including Gawain, Tristan, and Kay, sending Arthur and his knights into exile. Hulk has returned by this time, smashing through the wall of this castle so Merlin casts a spell transporting Hulk to Camelot so that he's breached their wall instead. The knights enter, led by Sir Percy of Scandia, the Black Knight, and they are met by an army of warriors gathered from a variety of eras (led by a hot barbarian woman). “Bruce” has Hulk lead Black Knight to the throne room where they confront the villain Valdar Ahd. Ahd freezes Sir Percy in his tracks and slows the Hulk down, aging him as he moves toward his foe. Merlin teleports the Ebony Blade into Hulk's hands and he cuts through the villain's time ray, distracting him long enough for Sir Percy to pick up the sword and skewer Ahd, hurling him back into the timestream. When Hulk suddenly begins sounding like Professor Hulk, “Bruce” then realizes that the last Chronarchist could be tampering with Hulk's own history....

Meanwhile, the final villain Khotto is in the desert, messing about with the original Gamma Bomb....

Also in the issue though not the synopsis: Maria Hill, SHIELD, Daman Veteri, Randall Jessup, Patricia Wolman.

Indestructible Hulk #13 Review by (May 21, 2019)

Review: Another offbeat setting, kept to a reasonable length, results in another fun issue with some over-the-top action. And a motivated reader can try identifying all of the time-displaced warriors in the battle scenes.

Comments:AGE OF ULTRON Aftermath”--Cover. Sole appearance of Valdar Ahd. The next bad guy, Khotto, appears on the final page. Kim Jacinto contributed to the inking.
