Marvel Comics Presents #78 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
A bored Selene, Black Queen of the Hellfire Club, is walking the streets of New York in search of excitement. The sudden ejection of three tough guys from a bar promises much so she enters to see the Hulk sitting alone at the bar. She buys the Hulk a drink. Hulk replies, “Not interested.” She reveals her identity as a goddess and offers to make him her consort. Hulk’s response, “Not interested.” She attempts to seduce Hulk. Hulk’s rejoinder, “Not interested.” She delivers a veiled threat by sucking the life out of the hapless bartender. Quoth the Hulk, “Not interested.” She knocks Hulk down with a psychic blast. Hulk shouts, “Not interested.” Realizing she’s riled him, Selene tries to bribe him into leaving. Hulk responds that there’s a reason he’s not interested… Later, at the Hellfire Club, Magneto is waiting impatiently for Selene and when she arrives she mentions she’s learned a lesson about arrogance and he needs one too. When he demands her attendance at a meeting, Selene calmly replies, “Not interested.”
