Thor visits a soda shop and regales the teenagers with a description of Asgard.

Later, as Dr. Don Blake, he assures his patient Markham on medical tests.

In Ringsfjord, the Spirit of the Living Talisman, one of the Enchanters' servants, attacks Balder and Sif, creating a body to combat them. Balder defeats it but the Enchanters themselves appear. Announcing their intent to defeat Odin himself, the Enchanters trap Balder and Sif in quicksand but Sif teleports them to Earth, playing right into the Enchanters' hands. Brona and Magnir follow, hoping Balder and Sif will lead them to Thor while Forsung journeys to Asgard to confront Odin.

Hearing that Dr. Blake knows Thor, the duo visit his office where Don reveals to them that he is Thor.

Meanwhile, Brona and Magnir arrive on Earth.

Rating: 5 stars
As Thor, Fandral, and Hogun await the charge of the Forty Horsemen of Satan, valiant Volstagg showers all of his charm on the lovely lady he encountered in issue #141, who turns out to be the sister of Mogul of the Mystic Mountain himself. As she flirts with him, she springs her trap and Volstagg plunges down toward the dungeons—with the princess in tow as he has seized hold of her. They land in the desolate lair of the brutish bull-headed Mutaurus which attacks. With the monster in hot pursuit, they make their way across the Sea of Lizards and reach the idol of the Mystic Mountain. There, at the statue’s base, they find the enchanted Rod of Wondrous Wizard Power (which resembles a long sci-fi-type gun). The Princess cannot control the mighty weapon so Volstagg takes it and blasts the Mutaurus into another dimension. Elsewhere, the charging Forty Horsemen of Satan have reached the heroic invaders and Thor proclaims the imminent clash will be a battle to the death!
