AWESOME HULK #20.
In Serenity Hills, Texas, a little
girl sees a dead rat in the house and her mother is unnerved. Then Mom
(Jennifer) goes to work at the local science lab where Weapon X has her testing
cyborg rats….
Meanwhile, Weapon X agent Carla is
driving Bobby Andrews to the lab, encouraging his commitment to Rev. Stryker’s
cause. Meanwhile, up in the sky, Amadeus Cho is explaining to the rest of the
team how he let Bobby get away: by the Hulk stopping Lady Deathstrike from killing him.
So the next move is for Old Man Logan and Sabretooth to discover where the
purchased fluid went and for Domino and Warpath to find a membership list from
Stryker’s disbanded church. So they head to the church and are met by cyborg
guards and dogs and they take great joy in killing them all….
Meanwhile, Logan and Creed find the
accountant who audited Omnitek’s books and deleted the info they are looking
for; they put some pressure on him but it is detected at Weapon X HQ and
Jennifer is ordered to activate a nanobot detonation. She does and the
accountant dies; her superior is pleased but Jennifer is shocked at what her
work has been used for….
Comparing all the recovered data,
Amadeus notes that it is all leading to Serenity Hills, Texas….
The next day at work, Jennifer is
still in shock but she is told she is being promoted and sent down to Vat H
where Dr. Alba tases her and she ends up like the dead rat at home….
