Thor
has returned, his soul inhabiting the Destroyer armor, to defeat the mad and villainous
Donald Blake. After Thor knocks him flat, Blake summons Mjolnir which doesn’t
help as Thor pounds him into the ground. But the Destroyer having been created
by Odin gives Blake power over it so Odin summons Mjolnir to him but Beta Ray Bill
snatches it out of the air and slams Blake to his knees. Doctor Strange then
traps the baddie in the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, rendering him helpless. Odin
prepares to execute Blake but Loki reassembles the broken staff and tosses it
to Thor, who slams it to the ground and emerges from the armor, back in his own
body. Thor is King and he will judge. He orders Odin to leave and the former
All-Father reluctantly does. Thor has Strange release Blake from the bands and
tells the villain that he will not kill him as they are brothers, both the
creations of Odin. But he will still be punished. And Thor sends a massive jolt
of lightning through him, knocking him unconscious; Thor asks Loki for advice
on what to do with him. Loki points out that while Blake chose evil, it seems
he was set up that way by the path that was chosen for him. So Loki takes Blake
to a fate he will not reveal to Thor….
Don
Blake awakens in a dungeon, chained to a stone slab, with a giant serpent
continually dripping venom into his eyes. Loki congratulates him on sitting on the
throne of the God of Evil. He wishes him well and departs….
