Synopsis

Captain America (1968 series) #207 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 2 stars

Captured by thugs in the employ of the Latin American dictator Hector "The Swine" Santiago, Steve Rogers is being flown to captivity in Rio de Muerte. He has been faking unconsciousness for some time though, and suddenly leaps up and fights with his captors. In the melee, the pilot is accidentally shot and the plane crashes into a jungle area. Steve, the only survivor, hears guards and dogs coming to investigate and flees, first changing into his Captain America gear….

Back in the US, Sam Wilson and Leila find Sharon Carter unconscious from the gas and realize Steve has been kidnapped….

When the guards, armed with gas guns, catch up with Cap, he fights back, seizing a gasmask and finally coming face-to-face with The Swine himself. Cap deflects the dictator’s bullet and hangs his foe from a tree branch by his uniform collar. Rescued by his men, The Swine vows revenge….

As SHIELD sets up a national manhunt, the Falcon decides to fly to Rio de Muerte….

Trekking through the jungle, Cap comes upon a forced labor camp. He overpowers the guards and set the workers free but they are too demoralized to flee. In the capital, word has spread, even to the prisons, about Santiago’s humiliation by Cap, and an embittered Swine is thinking up new tortures as a way of saving face. As he maltreats his prisoners, Donna Maria enters and expresses her desire that the "tiger" that humbled him comes back to finish the job….
