Karnilla reveals that Loki has stolen some of her Norn power, allowing him to lift Mjolnir, then sends Thor and Sif to Earth, where the hammer turns into Don Blake's cane in Loki's hands. There, Loki finds Thor transformed into Blake. Sif defends Blake but is injured by Loki's Norn blast. Don wrests his walking stick from Loki and changes back into Thor. He confines Loki by wrapping a signpost around him, and asks the police to summon an ambulance for Sif.

In the Abyss of Shadows, Ulik stops his descent and enters a cavern filled with shiny rocks.

At City Hospital, Don operates on Sif. Discovering Sif's location, Loki interrupts the operation. Don gets a fellow doctor to blask Loki with ether allowing him to finish the operation, then clears the operating room, so he can change into Thor and battle Loki. Odin mystically views the conflict and, concerned with a deadly danger that approaches the realm, sends and Odin-bolt to Earth, breaking up the fight. Loki departs and Thor prepares for a new threat to Asgard.
