Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Deadpool #18 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Wolverine, Deadpool, and Captain America lead the North Korean X-Men mutations against the main camp (23). Inside, Colonel Jong and Dr Butler receive word that Camp 19 has fallen. Then they learn that Deadpool has been captured. They go to see the prisoner and it turns out to be the mutated version of Cyclops, who unleashes an optic blast. With that the rest of the team attacks the compound. Cap rescues the families of the mutants from being slaughtered with a flame thrower while the mutants use their special abilities against their enemies. Mock-Wolverine suffers irreparable brain damage (the mutants are not exactly like their counterparts) and Logan puts him out of his misery. Fake Nightcrawler is reunited with his wife/girlfriend and Deadpool goes in search of Carmelita and their daughter. Wolverine tries to warn him but Wade soon finds Carmelita —in a mass grave. He goes berserk with grief and guilt and has to be restrained by his comrades. Elsewhere, Dr Butler prepares to revive his comatose sister….
