Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #456

Janis and Rick Jones are intercepted by the Absorbing Man, who warns them that Apocalypse is attempting to transform the Hulk into something far more dangerous—a new Horseman of War. Believing Rick may be the only one capable of calming the Hulk, the trio heads to Egypt without hesitation.

There, Apocalypse performs a grim procedure: he removes shrapnel from the Hulk’s skull, implants advanced tech, and completes the transformation. The Hulk becomes War, a weapon of destruction under Apocalypse’s command.

Soon after, War spots Rick, Janis, and the Absorbing Man. In a staggering display of power, he lifts an entire pyramid and hurls it at them. The group narrowly escapes, and Rick desperately tries to reach the Hulk’s humanity—but War refuses to listen.

The Absorbing Man steps in to fight, but War uses his sword to blast him apart, showing no mercy.

Just as the situation reaches its breaking point, a new challenger arrives: Juggernaut, the unstoppable force, ready to take on the green Horseman.

Also appearing in this issue is Ozymandias, servant of Apocalypse and keeper of ancient secrets.
