Synopsis

Incredible Hulk (1999 series) #92 synopsis by Julio M2
Rating: 3 stars
The Hulk learns that some members of the Illuminati (Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, and Iron Man/Tony Stark) have agreed with Nick Fury (a decoy actually) to cast the Hulk away into space for the sake of the world. Destroying the Godseye was just a trap to get the Hulk in that ship from which he could not escape. As for a destination, the Hulk's "friends" have picked a peaceful planet where the Hulk could not be hurt, nor hurt anybody. However, the ship suffers a navigational error, being pulled through a portal and lands on planet Sakaar, ruled by the murderous and corrupt Red King who likes watching gladiator fights for his own and his people's amusement.

Weakened by the passage through the portal, the Hulk was easily captured by the Imperial forces, and offered as a slave in a busy street of Crown City. The Hulk was sold for 60 silver squares and sent as a gladiator to the Great Arena. The Hulk does well in his first battle, where he meets a skinny native bug called Miek. The Hulk then tries smashing the Emperor, who in his super armor, descends to the arena and fights the Hulk at an equal. The Emperor has the upper hand but the Hulk is able to slash the Emperor's cheek, awing the audience.

Immediately after that, Lieutenant Caiera, mighty female Shadow warrior, comes down to the arena to defend the Emperor and face the Hulk. The Hulk tells Caiera that planet Sakaar will soon be his; she smirks at that. Suddenly, the Hulk is knocked out from behind with a powerful blast.

Unexpecting their survival, the Hulk, Miek and other natives, are locked and sent to a dangerous area called the Maw.

The Illuminati's plan was formed in New Avengers: Illuminati v1 #1. Prof X was missing since House of M. Sub-Mariner quit the team rather than agree to it.
