Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #87 Synopsis by Jose Roberto Guarniero
AWAKENING! The House of M is no more! The title of this story says it all, since we find Dr. Bruce Banner and Dr. Monica Rappaccini waking up in a strange house with no recollection of recent events! Since the house belongs to someone else, the police break in, and do something we do not think is healthy: make Banner angry! The Hulk awakens too.

After getting rid of the cops, the Hulk leaves for the outback after a mind connection with the Aborigines' leader (the "old man") who summons him. The Hulk drags Monica with him, mostly against his will. At the tribe, Dr. Banner is attacked by Scorpion, Monica's daughter and a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative, who has been on to them since she has some kind of vendetta against her mother, and a clue that something strange has happened (a major global brain wash). The Hulk emerges, hell breaks loose, and A.I.M. operatives appear and take Monica away amidst the fight.

The story closes with a sad Dr. Banner, realizing he is supposed to just be alone after all, and Scorpion agrees there is no point in keep fighting. The Aborigines vanished, probably fleeing from the fight.
