Synopsis

Incredible Hulks #631 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 5 stars

Beneath Las Vegas, Hulk, She-Hulk, and A-Bomb do battle with a giant sea monster wished into being by Hulk's ex Red She-Hulk. Fin Fang Foom reaches out and destroys the monster by grabbing it in one hand. Hulk simply takes on this new adversary....

The other newly summoned villains, Bi-Beast, Wendigo, ArmChedon, and Umar, size up the situation as Hulk's stomp splashes them all with the magical wishing water. And suddenly, Hulk and Amadeus Cho are wished to the Vegas Strip above, startling curious passers-by. Then Bi-Beast makes a wish and the chunk of Vegas real estate they are on levitates into the air, the perfect replacement for his shattered Sky Island. Hulk battles Wendigo to keep him from eating the Vegas population and accidentally wishes for a “real fight.” And suddenly Wendigo and Bi-Beast are two-hundred-foot-tall giants. As the ensuing brawl threatens to destroy a crowded (Avengers-themed) casino, Amadeus wishes everyone to safety—and they are suddenly on the White House lawn. Now that the sky chunk has been evacuated, Hulk can cut loose so he stuffs Wendigo's tail in Bi-Beast's mouths and thumps the latter on the head, causing the two giants to fight each other. He then flips the two into the air and brings the floating island safely back down where it belongs. By means of VR projection, Amadeus introduces President Barack Obama to the Hulk, who thanks him for saving Earth.... Then the giant rectangular warship of Arm'Chedon. Lord of the Troyjan descends, the villain challenging Hulk to battle—and the villain has She-Hulk and A-Bomb captive....

Incredible Hulks #631 Review by (August 27, 2018)

Review: An even more spectacular battle with Hulk fighting two super-sized old foes. Utterly thrilling from start to finish. And we are once again reminded that Hulk isn't a nice guy, refusing to allow Banner to take over when brains are needed more than brawn. But then there's a lot of need for brawn so maybe he has the right idea. Plus the Avengers-themed casino is kinda cute.

Comments: Bi-Beast was the android guardian of an extinct avian race; he (they?) was introduced in INCREDIBLE HULK #169 and was destroyed; this is a second one who has fought Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and a few other mighty Marvel Heroes. A Wendigo first appeared in INCREDIBLE HULK #162 but anyone who commits an act of cannibalism in the Canadian north woods becomes a Wendigo. Issues #631-634 feature interlocking covers.
