Comments: The incident with Crimson Dynamo and Janice Cord occurred in vol. 1 #22. Mordecai Midas plotted to mass-produce Iron Man’s armor in vol. 1 #103-107.

Review: Great cover! Forms an iconic portrait of Iron Man that was incorporated into IRON MAN 2 and a few other places. So, back to the confirmation hearings and the examination of Tony Stark’s character. He’s dragged through the mud because of the one big flaw in his life: not the bad heart, not the alcoholism but his ego. Tony has always considered himself the smartest man in the room; the portrayal by Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU exaggerates this—and often plays it for comedy. We’ve all known people like this in real life and can’t stand them. Unfortunately, Tony is in his own Real Life and it all backfires on him.

Invincible Iron Man #76 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
After a long hearing with the U.S. Senante, Tony Stark is NOT voted as the new Secretary of Defense.

Meanwhile, a Kestrel missile goes missing during a test, but Sonny Burch is not troubled, just focused on the many new defense contracts that will make him richer, including putting a set of older Iron Man armors operational again.
