Synopsis

Secret Avengers #10 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4.5 stars

At the sacred temple of Zheng Zu, the Asian villain is planning to sacrifice his son Shang-Chi in a bid to gain immortality. The Shadow Council is assisting Zheng because they will use him to extend their control into China. Just as the undercover Moon Knight signals his teammates, his cover is blown. The Secret Avengers literally dive into action, assaulting the temple from the air. As the battle rages, Zheng tries to complete the ritual but he is interrupted by the Prince of Orphans who destroys the magic circle and cuts down the villain. As the entire temple begins to crumble, Max Fury helps Director Thorndrake to escape while John Steele is overcome by Valkyrie (aided by War Machine) and captured.

Epilogue: Shang-Chi thanks his friends and leaves on a ship for China. Steve Rogers then visits John Steele imprisoned at the Raft, and asks him why he is no longer one of the good guys….
