Synopsis

Marvel Comics Presents (1988 series) #60 synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Wolverine and the Mimic battle on a mountain road, with the Hulk handy to rescue a car and driver forced off the road into a chasm. Hulk stops the fight and gives the Mimic tranquilizers to calm him down. The sun rises and Hulk becomes Bruce Banner. Hitchhiking, the trio is picked up by some of the rock fans who had given Bruce a ride earlier (issue #56), hoping to get back to Dr. Rankin’s cave (fortunately near the site of a Grateful Dead concert). On the trip, Bruce has a bit too much to drink and, on arrival, sunset turns him into a nasty version of the Hulk, who leaps atop a tower and starts to rip the roof off.

“On the Road” part 7 of 8. First of four stories in this issue, Hulk does not appear in the others. It isn’t clear how the party could drive from the Carolinas to Western Canada (about 2000 miles) between sunrise and sunset on a single day. And I thought Hulk wasn’t affected by alcohol (?)
