Synopsis

A+X #7 synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Rating:

Iron Man is summoned to SHIELD HQ where he is set to work on a problem; there Tony finds Hank McCoy—the Beast—already at work. Seems that their new anti-Hulk armor has been infected with a virus. The two heroes bicker for a while about who is the better scientist, then Tony goes to work—and fails as the virus spreads throughout the armor. It comes to life and attacks them; they have a hard time of it until the Hulk arrives suddenly and smashes it to pieces. The SHIELD Agent calms Hulk down with pictures of puppies until he turns back into Bruce Banner. The Avenger and the X-Man takes their leave. Then Bruce removes the memory stick which introduced the virus, having reminded himself that "Banner is the smartest one there is."

Synopsis

Ymir and the Frost Giants are about to invade Earth once more. Only Thor and Iceman are there to stand against them. Thor, annoyed at Iceman’s constant joking, tries in vain to destroy their foes. Ymir unleashes the Casket of Future Winters and again Iceman makes light of it. Why? Because "these idiots have just turned the world into ice—and I’m Iceman." The X-Man absorbs all the ice and grows into a multitude of frozen giants, the better to defeat the enemy army. He also closes the Casket while the God of Thunder calls down lightning to blast Ymir. Iceman’s collapses from the exertion and Thor carries him to safety, finally getting one of his jokes.
