All-New Invaders #9 Review by (September 6, 2014)
Review: Lots of spectacular action sequences just cover up the fact that the story isn’t particularly interesting. So there’s a villain who collects Deathloks and he wants a Human Torch…and he’s a Martian. That’s about it. Hope there’s a big finish coming.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

All-New Invaders #9 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

The Invaders have entered the base of arms dealer Kurt Dagmar to rescue the kidnapped Toro. Sub-Mariner and Human Torch have run into an army of Deathloks and are having a hard time; Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier, sneaking through the complex, realizes that Dagmar is up to something more dangerous than they had suspected. Captain America, summoned earlier by Bucky, arrives only to have his plane shot down by another Deathlok….

Kurt Dagmar, with the original Deathlok Luther Manning under restraint to listen to his gloating, is overseeing the capture of the Human Torch, his real quarry the whole time. As the computers finish synching the Torch’s brain to their machine, Torch is suddenly shut down. Elsewhere, Bucky discovers a female cyborg but his attempt to free her turns on the deadly security system….

Dagmar orders Manning to execute Subby with a Kree weapon but new arrival Cap leaps in front, deflecting the blasts back at Dagmar. The villain is revealed to be a Martian in disguise….
