Synopsis

Captain America #404 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 2.5 stars

Captain America and Dr. Druid are surrounded by werewolves as they arrive at Starkesboro, Massachusetts; Druid uses his magic to levitate above the monsters while Cap rips into them in the old reliable way. Druid mesmerizes the beasts so that he and Cap are invisible to them (including their smell) and levitates Cap out of the fray....

In Dr. Nightshade's lab she is trying to turn Wolverine into a werewolf but his healing factor just returns him to normal in minutes. Dredmund Druid settles for merely hypnotizing him into servitude....

Bernie Rosenthal stops by Avengers Mansion to see Cap; instead she meets Jarvis, taking the semi-catatonic Dennis “D-Man” Dunphy out for a walk in Central Park and she decides to join them....

Morning in Starkesboro brings a respite from werewolfery as the citizens have returned to normal. Cap and Dr. Druid, still invisible, head to the city hall for answers but Cap is attacked by a feral Wolverine. The fight spills out into the street where witnesses can't see what Logan is fighting. Nightshade arrives and shoots Cap with a tranquilizer needle. Cap wakes up in Nightshade's lab where she is about to inject him with the serum that will turn him into a werewolf....
