Synopsis

Captain America (1968 series) #392 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3.5 stars

Superia informs Captain America that she has launched a rocket which carries a bio-weapon that will sterilize every woman on Earth, leaving her to seize power and create a feminist utopia. She then summons four female supervillains—Bombshell, Arclight, Mysteria, and the Wrangler—to deal with him. Cap takes action, playing them off one against another until Black Mamba wakes up and helps defeat the four….

Meanwhile, Asp and Paladin have rescued Diamondback but now face another quartet of girl-baddies—Whiteout, Iron Maiden, Ferocia, and Ice Princess—who give them a similar hard time….

Cap takes advantage of Black Mamba’s dark force powers to disguise himself as Superia and enter the control room; there, he contacts Peggy Carter at Avengers’ HQ and fills her in on the situation. Cap is interrupted by the real Superia and they fight, spilling out onto the island’s beach. Cap challenges her to a duel to prove who is superior, men or women. During the fight that follows Cap makes his foe mad enough to unleash a massive power blast—his shield protects him but it cracks the island’s invisible barrier, making Femizonia vulnerable to the bio-weapon. Superia heads back to her base to deal with the new problem. Cap and Mamba link up with Diamond, Asp and Paladin and they steal a boat to escape the island. They are found by Vision and John Jameson in a Quinjet, who tell them that Quasar has dealt with the rocket. They look but they can detect no island in the vicinity. Cap knows he and Superia will meet again….
