Having just read
Roxxon’s Thor comic book (see our review here), Thor is attacked by the Roxxon
Thor and finds he can think only in cliched comebacks. He realizes that the impostor
is the Keep, the Enchantress’ familiar, formerly filled with the Executioner’s
personality but now an all-new semi-person. Keep hits Thor with his Hammer, knocking
Thor out of the building to a downtown area. They continue to battle while Thor
tries to clear his head. Thor calls down lightning on the Keep who cries for
help and so is empowered by Amora sending the comic issue, which is the focal
point of the spell giving him life. Then Skurge kills Dario Agger with Thor’s
ax….
Turning the
cliches running through his head to his advantage (“Batter up!”), Thor hits his
foe’s hammer back at him, knocking him out of the sky. A crowd gathers, with
some recording the confrontation on their phones….
Back in the Roxxon
office, Amora transforms into Astrid Mora, company vice-president, calling
security….
The Keep again
hurls his hammer at Thor, who stops it with one hand, then recalls Mjolnir to
hit his hand, crushing the enemy’s weapon to bits. (“That’s not a hammer. This
is a hammer.”). He calls down lightning and fries the Keep to a crisp, while
telling the surrounding crowd that the Keep was a magical being who cannot
truly die. He then summons his ax Tormod to him and it flies away from the
police investigating Agger’s murder to land, covered in blood, in Thor’s hand….
