Thor turns the now-powerless Brona and Magnir over to the police. 

Meanwhile, Odin reappears in Asgard, having won the challenge against Forsung, who lost his life in the fight. Odin destroys Forsung's Living Talisman, then exiles Brona and Magnir to the Lost Limbo of Infinity Unending. 

Locating the Earthbound Asgardians, Odin summons Balder and Sif. Thor, however, asks to stay on Earth. Angry, Odin allows it but strips Thor of all power except his natural-born strength.

At their circus, the Ringmaster and his crew need a new strong man to help in their theft of the Golden Bull, a priceless art object, since Bruto has injured himself lifting an elephant. Now unable to become Don Blake, Thor arrives, dressed in civvies, looking for a job, claiming to portray the Thunder God in his act. The Ringmaster hypnotizes him and takes him to a lead replica of the Golden Bull. When Thor lifts it and carries it sixty feet, the Ringmaster wipes his memory of the test and hires him, intending to kill him after he serves his purpose.

Thor, the Warriors Three, and their new ally Alibar are reunited after the defeat of the Forty Horsemen of Satan. Alibar hands over the battle standard of Hogun’s people to its rightful owner, then they set out to strike FOR ASGARD! Elsewhere, the wicked sorcerer Mogul is about to pour out the vial containing the Spotted Plague on Hogun’s village, thus dooming them all to a gruesome death. Entering the villain’s quarters at the palace, the heroes come upon a huge crystal block; Alibar knows how to activate its all-seeing qualities and they observe Mogul about to disperse the plague upon the village. Alibar quickly recites another spell he learned by spying upon the wizard and calls down a lightning bolt to obliterate the villain on his magic carpet. Thus the city is liberated, Alibar is proclaimed the new ruler, and an everlasting bond of friendship is forged between Zanadu and Asgard. Thor and company happily set out for home.

Review: And the final arc in the Tales of Asgard ends on an oddball note: even though we never got the impression that the populace of Zanadu was not satisfied with their ruler Mogul, they name a thief as their new prince? Just because he has the support of a bunch of heroes from Asgard who showed up uninvited to overthrow the Mogul—who, let it be reiterated, was liked by his people? And Alibar defeated Mogul by having spied on him long enough to learn a number of his magical secrets—even though the thief would have had no cause to hang around, endangering himself for the days or weeks it must have taken to pick up these spells when the safest course for a thief would have been to sneak in, grab something, and get out as quickly as possible? Something tells me Alibar (also a heroic warrior—not usually a side occupation for a burglar) had more up his sleeve than he was willing to reveal. Anyway, this Arabian Nights adventure caps off the back-up series nicely. Now, on to the Inhumans! (Wait, what?)

Comments: Final installment of the “Tales of Asgard” back-up series. It returns in issues #252-253; after that it appears intermittently though the 1990s. Mogul survives to return in issue #474.
