Synopsis
Nick Fury and his troops approach Kang's ship. When their presence is detected, a platform descends to the ground carrying Mantis and Kang, who is wearing the weapons of the captured Avengers. When Fury leads the charge, Kang responds. Mantis takes notice that they still resist even though they are clearly at a disadvantage.
Janet returns to Hank Pym's lab to remind him that his teammates have been captured. He is busy working with his A.I. assistant Ultron-3, who has performed another self-upgrade. Janet is clearly upset at the situation with her teammates. Ultron-3 attempts to comfort her and is rebuked for his actions. Pym is concerned because he never added any type of emotional response into its operating system.
On board Kang's ship, Thor mentally summons Mjolnir to his side. The enchanted war hammer does as commanded, freeing him from his containment cell. Thor then releases the other Avengers. The Vision's conspicuous absence is noted by the Scarlet Witch. Once outside they attack Kang en masse and reclaim their weapons. Working together they are finally able to defeat the time traveling warlord.
Mantis begs the Avengers for his life. Captain America states that the Avengers do not kill their enemies. Kang sees this as a weakness and teleports both himself and Mantis back aboard their ship.
As a parting shot, they forcefully eject the Vision from their ship. He lands on the ground in a heavily damaged state, prompting the Scarlet Witch to wonder aloud if the Vision can actually die.
