Avengers #5 Review by (July 20, 2010)
Comments: Liefeld apparently wanted to get in a few pages of the Thor/Hulk fight. Unfortunately his contributions were limited to mostly large panels with little content to justify using this technique. Sadly this came across as nothing more than filler. Liefeld's efforts only illustrated how amateurish his work is when compared to Churchill.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Avengers #5 Synopsis by Kevin Hollander
Thor engages in a solo fight against the Hulk. After a long exchange, he goes to the extreme of summoning a lightning bolt to take out the gamma-powered creature. This lasts a few seconds before the Hulk recovers and starts again. Their fight continues through the entire complex.

Unfortunately the two brawlers damage the containment field for the gamma reactor that is powering the facility. Unless it is repaired, the entire Eastern seaboard of the United States will become irradiated.

Ultimately Thor's best efforts can't stop the Hulk as he is battered unconscious.
