Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #108 Synopsis by Gaetan Marcon
Sinking deeper and deeper into the quicksand in which he is trapped (see last issue), the Hulk locates a wall in the pit and smashes through it. Then, he heads back to the surface to confront the Mandarin once again.

A glass cage falls on the goliath, and rapidly fills with nerve gas that renders him unconscious. With a control device attached to his neck, the Hulk is released into the Chinese landscape on a path of destruction which the Mandarin hopes will lead to all out war between the nuclear nations of the world.

Once the news of the Hulk's rampage reaches Russia, Yuri Brevlov and Nick Fury plan a strike against the goliath but find it keeps eluding them at every turn. A communication from Tony Stark finally leads the two super-spies to their real target, the Mandarin.

Assaulting his fortress directly, Brevlov and Fury interrupt the Mandarin's control over the Hulk which turns in his track to take the fight back to his enemy.

As the villainous madman is about to finish up the two spies he easily vanquished, the Hulk comes hurtling through the wall and starts destroying the castle. The spies and the villain quickly escape, leaving the Hulk to the release of his fury which ends when the fortress is but rubble.
